Denver sweeps UMD at Amsoil Arena
UMD outplayed Denver for 54 minutes but gave up 3 goals in the last 6 minutes to lose 4-3 in Duluth.

UMD remains in 6th place in the WCHA after losing to Colorado College 5-1 Saturday night splitting the weekend series with the Tigers.
UMD Bulldogs get first sweep of the year over Mich Tech
Bulldogs beat Michigan Tech 1-0 Friday and 5-4 Saturday night with Freshman Forward Tony Cameranesi leading them again with 2-goals and 1-assist in leading UMD to a 5-4 victory and a sweep of the series.

UMD gets 3 points at Michigan Tech with 4-4 tie
UMD got some scoring from some much needed players this weekend to get 3 points in a 7-4 and 4-4 games. If the Bulldogs can get scoring from two lines consistently they will be an above average team. Joe Bassaraba, Justin Crandall and Caleb Herbert got some much needed points this past weekend to get 3 points. Game Summary here.

UMD leads 2-1 1:36 into the third period
UMD took a 2-0 lead after 2 periods but Wisconsin scores 1:36 into the 3rd period with a goal by Mark Zengerle and an assist by Tyler Barnes. Keegan Flaherty scored UMD's 2nd goal his first of the season with an assist by Derik Johnson.
UMD finally scores against the Wisconsin Badgers
UMD's Tony Cameranesi scored 18:00 into the first giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. This is the first goal for the Bulldogs in 78 minutes of play against the Badgers this weekend. Andy Welinski and Joe Basaraba got assist on the first goal. Look for Tony Cameranesi picture from last nights game.
UMD WINS 3-1 over Notre Dame
UMD wins 3-1 in the opening game of the two game series against the Irish. Decowski, Delisle and Crandall scored for UMD and Rust scored for the Irish. Matt McNeely had 29 saves for the Bulldogs in the win. The Bulldogs played a tight defensive game which kept the Irish off balance most of the game. These two teams will play again tomorrow night at 6:35 CST with the game on MY 9 in the Northland. Here is the game sheet from the WCHA.

UMD takes 1-0 lead after one period
Cal Decowski former Andover High School player scored his first goal as a Bulldog to give UMD a 1-0 lead after one period in South Bend over Notre Dame at the Compton Arena, It has been mention this might be the first goal by a Andover Huskie in D-1 Hockey.

UMD Starts 2012-2013 season tonight against Ohio St
Who will step up in the nets this season for the Bulldogs. Aaron Crandall, Matt McNeely and Alex Fons will be fighting for the job. The second question is who will be doing the scoring since Hobey Baker winner Jack Connolly, J. T. Brown and Travis Oleksuk have left the program. These three forwards will not be replaced but the question will be is who will be doing the scoring? Sophomore Caleb Herbert is the top returning scorer from Bloomington Jefferson with 14 goals and 19 assist as a freshman.
