UMD wins 3-1 in the opening game of the two game series against the Irish. Decowski, Delisle and Crandall scored for UMD and Rust scored for the Irish. Matt McNeely had 29 saves for the Bulldogs in the win. The Bulldogs played a tight defensive game which kept the Irish off balance most of the game.
