Former Duluth East Players in the news this week

1) Nate Repensky commits to Yale, the 2013 National Champs in D-1 Hockey. He has 2 goals and 17 assist in 16 games at Bismark in the North American Hockey League. Hats off to Nate for his hard work and over coming many injuries.

2) Alex Toscano Traded to Muskegon from Fargo in the USHL. He drove all evening to get back to Duluth then driving to Muskegon after four hours of sleep to play an afternoon game to score the winning goal late in the game. This was his first goal of the season in the USHL.

3) Jack Forbort who is coming home after getting traded to the Minnesota Wilderness of the North American Hockey League who play their games in Cloquet. He had 3 goals and 4 assist in 18 games for the Minot Minotauros.

4) Jake Randolph who leads the USHL in scoring with 31 points in 15 games. He has 8 goals and 23 assist. He also signed his letter of intent with the University of Nebraska Omaha this week and will play for them in the 2014-2015 season.

5) Mark Abalan who is the assistant coach for the Sioux City Musketeers in the USHL. He finish up winning the Gold Medal for the Junior A USA team up in Canada in the Junior A Challege. He was the assistant coach for the USA team.

6) Trevor Olson had surgery this week and will probably miss the rest of the season with the Sioux City Musketeers in the USHL. He had 6 goals and 7 assist in 10 games this season. He will be playing for North Dakota in Grand Forks next season.

7) Jake Williams who scored a goal for American International in the Atlantic Hockey league in D-1 as his team beats Bentley 8-7 Friday night. Jake might only be 5'9" but plays like he's 6' 4".

8) Cade Fairchild just came back from a a lower body injury for the Chicago Wolves, the minor league club of the St. Louis Blues in the American Hockey League. Cade has been out since February.

9) Phil Beaulieu coming back from the Fargo Force in the USHL league to play his Senior year for Duluth East. This will be Phil's 4th year of Varsity at East and he will be a strong candidate for Mr. Hockey. Its nice to see a kid not in a rush and want to play with his friends. He will return to Fargo after the High School season. He was leading the Fargo Force in scoring.

10) Duluth East and Coach Mike Randolph will start the 2013-2014 season at Cambridge-Isanti Tuesday November 26, 2013.
